FLORA BAR - MET BREUER

Location: Met Breuer, New York

Duration: Summer - Fall 2016

Office: David M. Sullivan Inc.

The site is the Flora Bar located in the lower level of the historically relevant Met Breuer Museum. The aim was to play off of the existing materiality in the space and create a language of design details in each piece which would be carried throughout the space. These pieces had to be highly functional without compromising their design; it was important that the pieces feel as if they belong in the space and underscore the existing structure. I recommend dining in the Flora Bar near dusk when the wine station is lit with candles, illuminating the support column and the design in a comforting and elegant glow.

All designs were completed under instruction and review of David M. Sullivan.
